nostalgia

This is really random, but the other day I was opening a drawer and I saw a bunch of my dry erase pens. That gave me a great sense of nostalgia for Mormon Paradise as I remembered our very Molly whiteboard and all things associated with it. It also reminded me that I can't run out to my living room after getting off the phone with a boy screaming "non-chocolate candy!!" and not be met with confusion. Not that that happens a lot anyway, but oh well.

That's not to say that I'm not loving it up here in L.A., and being here for the summer. I've been shamelessly lazy this summer. I've still done work and productive things here and there. But wow. I haven't been this useless during a summer since my early years in high school. It's been so nice not having to worry about my mother, terrorists, or having no friends to play with (as I would during my summers in Livermore). I'm looking forward to a weekend of excitement! Tonight there is a relief society night where we're eating In-N-Out and then joining the boys to watch a movie out on the field. Tomorrow, I'm going hiking with some people from Riverside and then going Ballroom Dancing! I love it! It's been so long since going (minus the weekly lessons).

I miss mormon paradise, too. We seriously had the most girly fun ever there.
