Venice was awesome and very unique. Unfortunately, we didn't have as much time as I would have liked in Venice, since we did an island tour. We ended up touring three islands off Venice. I only remember the name of one - Merona - which is famous for it's glass. We saw a glass blowing demonstration, and it was actually quite impressive. We went to another island famous for lace, and another one that was famous for being... Medieval? Our walking tour of Venice was disappointing as we learned absolutely learned nothing about the city, except that it is sinking, there is a Carnivale every year in which everyone goes crazy with elaborate costumes and masks (their version of Mardi Gras), and there are only boats, no cars, used as transport on the island. This is definitely a city I would visit again, and make sure I had a few days to really appreciate the uniqueness, and cultural aspects of the city.
