Day 2 began by sleeping in. I explored more of San Jose. Let me tell you. San Jose, Costa Rica - not all that impressive. I'm sure had I been there on a non-Sunday, there would have been more to do. I took an obligatory shot of a major landmark in the city, the Theatro Nacional.
In any case, I eventually met up at the Hotel where we were told to meet at, only to be told that that was the wrong hotel. Luckily, another woman, Karen, made the same mistake and we took a taxi to the right place. We were among the first in our tour group to make it there. She was a very interesting lady - 65 years old, married, and out exploring the world on her own. She gets the Winter Blues so for the winter months she goes to sunny places and her husband, not wanting her to be unhappy, does not hinder her. She has seen much of the world with her husband but also has no problem going by herself if he's not into it. I want to be like her when I grow up!
