Costa Rica: Day 5 - Cahuita

So, earlier that morning, my camera started to show signs that it would soon poop out when I walked around to get some pictures of the grounds.
Hotel.

I saw a Toucan, which apparently you are lucky to get a good shot of them because they aren't necessarily very social.
Toucan!

After breakfast, we took the boat back to the mainland and I since my camera was on the out and out I didn't worry about taking pictures.  We saw several animals on this leg of the trip (of course).  I saw a blue-ish type bird (not a blue footed booby) just standing there with its wings out basking in the warmth and drying off.  There was a crocodile swimming in the river just 10 feet away from us (it was trying to get away from us so we were safe).  Tons of howler monkeys.  A sloth somewhere in there.  Several types of birds.  I can't even begin to name them all.  It was lovely and relaxing.

We then arrived in Cahuita which is a small beach town.  It's not too marred by the tourist industry just yet so it was probably the closest I saw to a Costa Rican town.  I spent that afternoon chilling at the beach.  It was awesome because I got to walk through the jungle in order to get to the beach!  The sand was a blackish gold sand, so the water looked sparkly when you were swimming in it.  All in all, very relaxing day.
