England: Day 4

After some confusion, we finally found the Britannia YSA ward.  The church is still true in London.

Half of the ward members were Americans.  Gotta love it.
We then rushed over to the Hampton Court Palace.  It took forever to get there, but it was interesting to learn some of the history.  I wish I could have learned history by going to a Historic Royal Palace!  King Henry VIII was kinda a douche... that was one of the major take home lessons from my trip to England, and it really started to take route while I was visiting this Palace.

More scaffolding!

They had beautiful gardens.

more prettiness

Got a shot without scaffolding!
Afterwards, we rushed back to Central London to go to the National Gallery.  I LOVED this, but of course I love museums.  I got to see Leonardo Da Vinci, Raffael, Michealangelo... I just needed some Donatello and I would have seen the entire Ninja Turtles!  I can't forget to mention Monet, Van Gogh, or Rembrant!  I learned some new artists that I like: Cezanne, Rubens, Bellini. Seeing the Da Vinci was probably the highlight for me!

Outside the National Gallery.

Trafalgar Square - where many riots happen.
We then had to rush over to the Shakespeare's Globe.  It was fashioned after the original Globe Theater in Shakespeare's time (which was torn down by the puritans in the 1600s).  The costumes were amazing, the acting was great and I was glad we were able to go.

This was outdoors... so it would suck for those who had to stand in the middle if it rained.  No umbrellas were allowed.  Glad I had a seat!

me, on the stage... kinda...
