Day 5 we made our way over to Buckingham Palace. Since the Queen was out to one of her other (many) residences, she opened Buckingham Palace for the next 10 weeks for the public. After many long lines, we got our tickets to go in (of course RIGHT at the same time as the Changing of the Guard, go figure!). We couldn't take pictures of the inside of the palace (because let's be honest, would you want people coming in and taking pictures of YOUR house? Didn't think so). But I did get some pictures from the gardens and the outside!

| More pretty pictures! |
| It was hard to limit the pictures to post! |
| Front shot. |

Next, we rushed over to Westminster Abbey, Parliament Area. On the way we took this pretty picture:

We then made it to Westminster Abbey. Again no photos were allowed to be taken inside the Abbey, but we got some pictures from the outside area.

| Where the famous Royal Wedding took place. |
| Picture of Parliament while waiting to get in line. |
| Big Ben, London Eye, random flags, and a Hunger Strike all at once. (You have to strain really hard to see the tends). |
We then had to rush like the might wind over to the train station to make it to York at a decent hour. Thank goodness for Bullet Trains, we got there in 2 hours! When we got there, we were quite visibly lost and a nice man went out of his way to cross the street and offer us help. We found our B&B and it was great. Now, we haven't really posted pictures of where we were staying because they weren't much to look at... but this place was beautiful!
| It was nice and matchy! |
| Is it sad that perhaps we were most excited about having a clean bathroom all to ourselves? |
