England: Day 7

We started the day off by hitting an early session of the London Temple.  It's located in this quiet suburb near London, but conveniently there is a train stop right there and the local cab service knows what you're talking about when you say "the Temple" or the "Mormon Temple."  The grounds were just so British and the Celestial Room had a golden tint to it!  Here are the pictures of the grounds.

We then headed out to Canterbury.  It was yet another massive and beautiful cathedral.  This one in particular has been a very significant pilgrimage site for nearly 1000 years, hence the inspiration for the famous Canterbury Tales.  While we were there, there was a choir practicing and it was absolutely beautiful to hear that type of music sung by a nearly flawless choir echoing through the walls.  These cathedrals were designed for these types of acoustics.  Again, surprisingly, you could take pictures of the inside, so I did!

Afterwards, we tried to roam around to find something to eat.  And everything SHUT DOWN by like 5.  And it started raining.  Not fun!  We asked a random woman who looked nice where there were places to eat, and it turns out she really was a nice woman because she directed us to a restaurant that turned out to be very good!  It served more traditional English foods, but they were prepared in such a way that they actually tasted good.  :)  Thus ended our time in Canterbury and we tried to get to bed early so we would be bright eyes and busy tailed for our busy itinerary the next and last day in London!
