Peru Part III: Machu Picchu

So by now I've seen the Roman Colosseum, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, and Stonehenge - all things that at one point or another made some type of "Wonders of the World" list.  I finally got to add to that list after the long hike to see Machu Picchu! 

Really?  More stairs?  My knees hated me by this time.

I look like I'm about to go crazy which probably isn't too far from the truth.  However, I have to put aside vanity and show the proof that I was there!

If you are one who is really interested in ancient civilizations, I would recommend hiring a guide to walk around the site and maybe? not doing the trek (unless you are in good shape and will not be facing certain death like I was) if you really want to get the most out of your MP experience.  I was very tired by then and so my brain can't quite remember all of the details of what was what at the site.

Thus ends my trip to Machu Picchu, and there that item gets stricken from my Bucket List!  My next journey is to the Amazon Jungle!
